Sonja Rottiers (°1963) is CFO of AXA Belgium since February 2011. Prior to that appointment she acted as CEO, Managing Director of Nationale Suisse Assurances from September ‘09 to January 2011. As an economist specialized in accountancy and tax, Sonja has spent most of her career within the Dexia Group.

She started her career as management auditor then as the manager of the independent network at the former Crédit Communal of Belgium.

After the constitution of Dexia , she was put in charge of strategic projects including M&A before becoming Managing Director of Dexia Insurance, then CFO and Vice-President of the Executive Board of Dexia Insurance Belgium following the merger with DVV.

Sonja is Director on the boards of AXA Belgium, Assuralia (including Finance & Risk Commission VP), Women on Board. She’s also member of the Brussels Capital Region’s Women Commission.
